As part of the high-speed train project between Çerkezköy and Kapıkule, a new double track railway with a design speed of 200 km/h is being constructed for the Çerkezköy-Kapıkule section.
Four new stations are to be constructed between Çerkezköy and Kapıkule, with the new lines to be connected to the two existing stations in Çerkezköy and Edirne. All signaling equipment at these stations will be replaced, and the new system will be integrated into the
existing CTC Center. The new doubletrack line will be equipped with ERTMS Level 1 and will be upgradeable to ERTMS Level 2.
